The Belmont Oasis Leisure Centre indoor aquatic facilities (50m pool, lagoon and spa) will temporarily shut down at the close of business on Saturday 23 November, through early January 2025 for essential maintenance works to be complete.
This scheduled closure will allow City of Belmont contractors to complete essential maintenance to ensure the safety and quality of services for all pool users.
To mitigate the risk of structural damage caused by local groundwater conditions, essential maintenance and assessment of all indoor pools will be conducted during the warmer summer months, when the water table is at it’s lowest point. This will involve draining the pools to carry out the necessary work.

If none of the alternative arrangements meet your needs, or if you prefer not to access the outdoor 25m pool and health club during the closure, we’re happy to place your membership on a courtesy suspension for the closure period. Please see a staff member at the Oasis on your next visit to arrange this or complete the online form.
To protect the pool structures, the closure needs to occur during warmer months, when dry ground conditions reduce the risk of damage to the pool structure once drained. Historical data shows December as a quieter month with fewer programs and services, making it an ideal period to ensure the pools are available for the community and members during peak summer.
