Thanks to the ongoing investment and commitment by the City of Belmont, the Belmont Oasis Leisure Centre will be undergoing major plant room overhaul works scheduled for October, November and December 2020.
Due to these works, there may be disruption to the public and we will try to make it minimised as much as possible, however, a 4-week shutdown for each pool will be required for these works to occur. This will be scheduled to lower impact on users, swimmers, students and bookings. We now have dates for the next steps of this operation.
The First stage of closures will include the Lagoon Leisure pool and the outdoor pool. The Lagoon Leisure pool and outdoor pool will be unavailable from 12 noon on Sunday the 11th of October.
The Main pool will be in short course (25m) format for the duration. This allows younger children to participate in swim lessons in the main pool with the temperature being increased to 30 degrees, so all swim lessons can partake in this pool. Estimated reopening of the Lagoon leisure and outdoor pools are Thursday the 19th of November.
